Project Feature: IOL - Aqsarniit Hotel & Conference Centre

Solvest, in partnership with Nunavut Nukkiksautiit Corporation (NNC), has completed a 336 kW solar and backup energy storage microgrid at the Aqsarniit Hotel and Conference Centre in Iqaluit, Nunavut. The system integrates 740 solar panels, battery storage, and diesel backup generation, creating a reliable hybrid energy solution tailored for Arctic conditions. This project enables Aqsarniit to operate independently from the local grid, achieving a new level of energy independence, reducing fuel consumption, and setting a benchmark for sustainable power solutions in northern communities.
