Project Feature: Nihtat Energy IPP

Solvest was selected by Nihtat Energy Ltd. to construct a 1.6MW solar power plant in Inuvik on a brownfield site. Building on the success of two earlier collaborations in Inuvik, this project features 3,456 solar modules, forming a community Independent Power Producer (IPP) that will enhance the diversity of the Inuvik grid. Site preparation and construction kicked off in spring 2022, with racking and module installation completed by the end of August the same year.
